Unlike the 1987 original and the 1991 remake, Larry is resurrected after he dies, so the player does not have to restart or load a saved game to continue playing. Some puzzles, such as the Ken sent me puzzle, have had their solutions changed. A "Smell/Lick" command has been added to the parser. It has six icons: Walk, Look, Take/Use, Talk, Smell/Lick, and Zipper. The game uses a point-and-click interface like the one in the 1991 remake. A middle-aged man named Larry Laffer travels to Lost Wages to lose his virginity and find true love.
