This was a concern of mine.ġ6gb is sufficient, but if you really want to do a lot of video/photo stuff with it, you may want the higher memory model (SSD is up-gradable with a 2230 card, but memory is fixed). Using it like a tablet, with a lot of on/off use without shutting down, I seem to be doing just fine. However, if I do, the charger is not large and I found a 65w PD battery that can charge it through the USB-C. So far, I haven't run out of batteries yet.

The results are impressive for a tablet sized device.īattery is a weird and subjective thing with a lot of dependencies. I used the TimeSpy, which is a desktop benchmark, so you could see it as if it were a desktop, and I also used the version for mobile devices to see how it would stack up against a Tab 8 or something.

I did post some TimeSpy results if you want to know how it would play games. If you accept this as a portable unit, you'll have some kind of cloud or side drive anyway, and save the internal for programs and working data. The 1tb can be upgraded for often less than the out of the box price. That said, I love my i7/16/256 (soon to be 1TB). It's a micro-laptop and will suffer from all the design issues related to making things small and portable.

This is NOT a desktop or desktop replacement.
